Extraordinaire! Bugatti Drives Royale Through Paris
By Gunnar Heinrich | YouTube
FEARFUL, yet compelled, I watched.
There’s nothing quite like viewing someone pilot the world’s greatest and most exclusive automobile (only six exist and prices at auction ranged recently from $8 – $20 million) - around one of the world’s most treacherous roundabouts – l’étoile de Paris.
It doesn’t help our nerves to watch as careless Parisian mopeds crowd this 21 foot long chariot like flies swarming a legendary thoroughbred.
Caroline Bugatti shows plenty of, how shall we say, chutzpah!
C’est belle, sa rêve!
With Ferrari’s 599 GTB Fiorano, You’ve Got Options
One of two Ferraris that are officially customizable.

LET the driver decide.
In the 1990s when Ferrari first fitted its cars with ABS, the company gave the driver a choice of deactivating the anti-lock braking system (via interior switch) for a more authentic and challenging driving experience.
The option to adjust suspension, power management, and transmission settings on the latest models such as the new California carry that philosophy forward.
But a press release that hit my inbox some days ago gave me pause.
Ferrari announced that along with the California introduction in Paris, the Italian sportscar maker announced their open invite to would-be clients to fly to their “Atelier” in Maranello to custom design his or her very own 599 GTB Fiorano.
It seems that previous company policy dictated that only the 612 Scaglietti could be tailor-made to suit a client’s whims.
If that is in fact true, it begs the question how much did the Sultan of Brunei have to pay to override company policy when commissioning all those one-off shooting brakes?
Press Release after the jump.
