Well,i hope everything will be fix soon and those affected cars will be updated to prevent failure again. It may happen sometime to fuel up wrong gasoline especially if it's entitled as family car like on us.

I own a 2010 SRX, 2.8L Turbo. Engine light came on several times. I took it to the dealership everytime it happened. Each time they had a different solution that they were sure would solve the problem. Guess what, light is on again...GM has a major problem with this car and does not want to take responsibility. I am ready to return it.

Agreed. Fueling up with the incorrect octane should not be a "Caddy Killer", what if you lent it to a friend/family member? I was always under the impression if you used the wrong gasoline the worst case would be you didn't get the HP you were paying for... But, as with any company, they are playing damage control.

This is total BS!!! I had my brand new, factory delivered 2010 SRX 2.8L Turbo for 2 days before the engine light came on. A trip to the dealer indicated a turbo charger issue. After 3 weeks of my vehicle still in the shop, I am awaiting a complete redesign of the turbo intake and seal. I did not even have a chance to screw up the fuel octane. I am so balistically out of my mind - Government Motors for sure!!!

Interesting article! Sounds a little too exciting for us
old folks, tho. I was on the CA freeway once in the 60s and
never forgot the experience-scary even then!
