I have a xjrs convertible. Over the years of owning it since 91. I have maintained and imprved it to a very high standard. Love it to bits.

i have one of these and they are only as good as it makes you feel when you drive one. cost wise if you look after it it wont hurt you to hard not like the porsche.

Beautiful car.

Australians ‘fix’ them by dropping a 350 chev between the front strut towers… Its lighter, more powerful and more economical than the big cats original mota.

I know…I know…its also sacrilegious.

Actually, considering the car’s age (early 90s) – 85,000 miles is actually a kind number when parsed out over a 15+ year timespan.

It is an undeniably beautiful car, however the cost of ownership could easily outweigh the pleasure thereof.

85,000 miles is a good deal of miles, if it had 35,000 miles on it, I would be interested.

85,000 miles, for an XJS that is nearly worn out. Buy it for $10K and look forward to $10K per year to keep it running.

Unlike a Porsche 928 another drive it till it breaks, then junk it, the XJS is likely to nickel and dime you to death beyond the (expensive) routine maintenance, but probably no outlandishly enough to trash the car.

Lovely car though
