HELP! I am going through 911 withdrawal!

For but precious moments ago, in my hands, wringing –unassisted- corner through corner; sensing where rubber meets sinewy roadway through lineal touch of white knuckled hand: a 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera.

So basic, yet intricate. So simple, but perfect, it was, if I may be (im)modest, my first time.

Whatever they put in the water in Zuffenhausen twenty five years ago- worked. Such engineering so linearly executed, the 911 was/is a joyous, speedy, and challenging instrument.

Volatile cocktails like this do cause addiction – I won’t be the same! Full review next week. Directly, however, have a listen to that brawny flat-six on the boil.
