As usual, another wonderful review. I particularly appreciate your apt description of the Bentley Mulsanne. When the first press photos of the Mulsanne and Ghost appeared, I would have chosen the Mulsanne over the Ghost, but that changed 180 degrees rather quickly. The Ghost appears to me every inch a Rolls-Royce, and for that I am grateful to BMW. In my not-so-humble opinion they have done an outstanding job with the complete R-R line. BMW seems to “get” the essence of the R-R experience. I don’t quite know how to describe what’s going on at Bentley, but it appears to me that management lacks the depth of understanding about what a Bentley should be, whereas Rolls – Royce has it nailed.

Nice review. RR has defined two distinct niches, even if the vehicles are only several inches different in length. The Phantom has a Master of the Universe air about it while the Ghost seems to say reward for a financially successful life.

This must be an interesting period for Rolls-Royce. It seems such a long time since they have had anything like a two model range, one wonders what the reaction from the pre established customer base will be. From that point of view, it’s good to hear that the car doesn’t disappoint, and especially that it is distinctive from its BMW cousin!
